Nikka from the Barrel Extra Marriage 40th Anniversary Shizuoka meaning it was heavily peatedThe Nikka From the Barrel Extra Marriage 40th Anniversary is a limited edition release celebrating the 40th anniversary of the legendary 1985 blend. This Japanese whisky combines malt and grain whiskies from the Nikka distilleries Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Compared to the standard bottling, the maturation time after blending the so called "marriage phase" has been doubled, resulting in a whisky that is even more harmonious, complex, and profound.
