"PEP" mute, is named in honor of the great Duke Ellington who often harmonized two plunger pixie muted trumpets and a trombone into what was called a "pep section" (see "Rockin in Rhythm") The PEP mute plays in tune across the entire trumpet range, is free blowing, and projects with excellent volume, keeping your chops fresh while making pixie work more musical, enjoyable, and successful than ever before.
