Hakutsuru - Ukiyoe - Junmai Gin no Yume These rice strainsHakutsuru Ukiyoe Junmai highlights the umami of the rice, with some soft spice notes. Depicted on the label is Okita Naniwaya, a poster girl who brings prosperous business, drawn by Utamaro Kitagawa. Warming the sake will enhance its sweetness and mellow its sharpness, while chilling it will highlight its subtle fruitiness. Unexpected, happy pairings for this sake are carne asada, chicken tikka masala and gourmet cheese plates.
