cortland mosquito s fly reel Crown Series – Line Company offers ample space for fly line and backing Cortland Endurance Reel - Beartooth

Max Lead Weight (for Bottom Fishing): 48 oz

This was one of my favorite reels on our trips to both Iceland for big browns and to Jurassic Lake in Argentina for giant rainbows, both fish that ran long distances into backing and demanded an extremely smooth drag

It dives to around 2m which is solid but extremely deep, the beauty of it is how quick it gets down there and into the strike zone

We launched at the boat ramp below Rocking Chair pool

Not that we think the fish will care, just as long as youre not casting in the shadow of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant

By the end of summer, our emergency room looked more like a sporting goods store than a medical facility
