Reach casting and mending are the two of the most important fly-fishing skills that longer rods can help to improve

It literally only lasts one to two casts

I especially love this bait in a mayfly hatch when it perfectly imitates a small bream eating the flies along the surface

Casting into a breeze with a lure that suddenly decides to act like a potato chip is another

Its a lightweight reel, clocking in just about 7.4 ounces

Perfect example is some of the jigging rods on the market have a very parabolic action with limited lifting power, with the right amount of stiffness being built in, this creates a more forgiving tip section resulting in less broken rods
