CAL Shad and show you what kind of action each lure has with an underwater demo
It's simple, it's easy
You could add nail weights (or weighted hooks) to get to the desired depth, or to suspend

With a 8-9ft rod casting up to a max of 35-42g, the upper limit on how much a reel can weigh and still feel balanced seems to be around 315g
The construction feels solid enough for me, the retrieve is decent , and it makes a great noise when a fish takes drag
When it's time to fish I will set up the camera to watch my deadstick rods and I'll use a flasher actively to watch the lure I'm jigging
