Rod Length : Longer rods are superior for extending casts

Rubber skirts can impede a lure's action because they are relatively heavy

The Rising Son is a bait that's meant to operate in that barely subsurface zone, pushing a V wake, skipping on the top, or moving slowly just a foot or two down

Since the head is loose, it can easily get caught on the surface and stop your lure from skipping

Essentially what happens is when the fish hits and all that force is transferred to the bearings, the additional ingredient activates and chemically alters the metal and metal oxide wear surfaces of your reel actually making the metal itself slicker

Its easier to cast throughout the tide than an 11-footer but still has enough length and leverage to maneuver a bass or bluefish around the jetty rocks for easy landing
