Today, we have an outstanding array of ice fishing reels that weigh under 6 ouncesgenerally in the 1000 or even 500 sizes (some companies use the 100 and 50 scale instead)intended to match light panfish rods
It is easy to set the hook on this reel and the anti-reverse roller bearing is a quick-set type
A linear retrieve is sufficient, but a succession of twitches is also very effective
Unmatched balance Although many anglers might think about fishing reels when it comes to the Lews brand, I can personally vouch that they have made miles of improvement in regards to their fishing rods
ps - Lou's wife Susie cooks the most perfect deep-fried spec fillets I've ever tasted - don't tell my mom
I was recently asked by a reader, who had just read another review of mine, about my all time top 3 spinning reels
