In-The-Field long term tackle test My Veritas 2 in action on another big snapper that fell for a GULP soft bait I have used the Veritas rods from generation 1 onwards, and without doubt they have been a favourite, accounting for a huge number of big snapper, decent kingfish and many other species mostly hooked on soft baits

Long after my ranting had subsided I must admit that I found that the drag system works brilliantly and I love using the reel, even without backwind

Q: Is it okay to lubricate the side plates back side of the bait casting reel

So, a 6.3:1 gear ratio reel turns 6.3 times for every revolution of the reel handle

Personally, I think that is penny wise and pound foolish
