Water temps in the 70s and baitfish abundance make ploppers like the Berkley Choppo ideal
This lure is pretty much going to be working on the bottom with a relatively slow retrieve
When it comes to bass reels, spinning gear just handles light line and light baits much better than baitcasting gear
The top producing color/pattern for us was the orange bellied Rocky, this bait took a beating but landed a ton of double digit fish
Now you should also have increased visibility since the rain stopped you can locate optimal surface runoff areas
