Of all the spinning reels Ive owned and tested, this one performs the best for me and for beginner clients
it is perfectly suited for anglers dropping heavy baits into 500+ feet of water where strong tides demand heavier leads and thicker mainlines
Pro Tip: I do tend to use the SD drift more because it has the ideal weight for thumping the bottom along with the smiley blade action that produce a crawfish or wounded minnow vibration
The word spinners seems a little ancient in the lure world, most people call them metals now
Happy fishing and be sure to take lots of pictures and let us know how you are doing!
I always start by rigging and setting my deadstick rod
